1 Ltd EXHIBITING AT CEATEC JAPAN (MAKUHARI
MESSE) 2-6 OCTOBER, 2007

will be exhibiting at CEATEC JAPAN, the leading IT and electronics
trade show, in Makuhari Messe, Japan 2-6 October, 2007.
1 Ltd will be demonstrating its latest miniature AF camera modules
at their booth - Hall 8, 8C02. This new AF module takes miniaturisation
to a new level and meets handset manufacturers’ requirements
for a robust, miniature module that is suited to mass-market applications.
Based on 1 Ltd’s proprietary Xlinea™ Shape Memory Alloy
(SMA) actuator, the module has a very simple design which overcomes
the limitations normally associated with miniature cameras. This
design simplicity results in the module being inherently robust
ensuring it meets the industry standard drop test and reliability
requirements. The small volume occupied by the actuator enables
a large M6.5 lens barrel to be fitted, so improving image quality.
The actuator is also very efficient, requiring approximately 1/3
the power drawn by voice coil motors.
Also on display will be 1 Ltd’s Digital Sound Projector technology,
real surround sound from a single speaker. The technology uses steerable
beams of sound that are reflected from walls and furniture to produce
a 5.1 system without the need for trailing cables or separate speakers.
As well as surround sound 1 Ltd will be demonstrating Beam2MeTM
a feature enabling 2 viewers to listen to differing audio from the
same Sound Projector intended for picture in picture or multi language
TV viewing.
Digital Sound Projector is a cost effective, space saving 5.1 system
that is being integrated into FPTV, computers and gaming systems.
